The Master's degree is particularly aimed at psychologists who wish to pursue careers in data-intensive professions in psychology and such fields that are close to psychology. An initial area of interest is university and non-university research, with particular emphasis on (often technology-based) experimental psychological and neuroscientific methods. Experimental psychology and neuroscience skills also find application in clinical fields such as performance testing, training for functional maintenance, and rehabilitation, as well as in the context of digital technologies and cognitive and emotional design. The increasing importance of Big Data and Data Science also offers a growing job market for psychologists, especially where the processes under consideration are related to cognitive psychology and neuroscience.
